(L.A.) Zonia Sotelo, 55, Died in a Bathtub

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Zonia Sotelo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Drug Toxicity

RIP ZONIA SOTELO (July 23, 1969 – January 9, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 6:32 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent was found lifeless in a bathtub.
