(L.A.) Mayleigh Beaver, 21, Died in Vehicle Crash into River

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at a riverbed.

The coroner’s office has identified the young woman as Mayleigh Beaver of Palmdale.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP MAYLEIGH BEAVER (November 28, 2001 – December 3, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:23 a.m.

The decedent just delivered a baby girl in January.

At around 4 a.m. Saturday, first responders received reports of a crash near McBean Parkway and Copper Hill Drive in the Valencia (Santa Clarita Valley) area.

Upon arrival, Santa Clarita sheriff’s deputies located a single vehicle that appeared to have been traveling westbound on Copper Hill Drive when it drifted off the roadway, through a guard rail, and rolled over into the San Fransisquito Creek.

The vehicle plunged about 40 feet down.

Beaver was pronounced dead by paramedics from the L.A. County Fire Department.
