(L.A.) Dwayne Harris, 66, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Dwayne Harris.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP DWAYNE HARRIS (April 11, 1958 – December 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:07 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
