(L.A.) Gilbert Gamboa, 53, Died at a Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Latino male that occurred at a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gilbert Gamboa.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Heroin

Other Significant Condition: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:48 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
