(L.A.) Shane Hardin, 49, Died the Effects of Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Shane Hardin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sepsis

Cause of Death B: Toxic Megacolon and Probable Ischemic Colitis

Cause of Death C: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP SHANE HARDIN (May 10, 1975 – November 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:48 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
