The coroner’s office identified the man as Brian Sapir.
Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Jackson.

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Quetiapine and Valproic Acid

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:46 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
Quetiapine is an atypical antipsychotic medication primarily used for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (both manic and depressive episodes), and major depressive disorder (often in combination with antidepressants).
Valproic acid is an anticonvulsant (anti-epileptic) medication commonly used to treat seizure disorders, bipolar disorder (manic episodes), and to prevent migraines.
