(L.A.) Otis Davis, 60, Died From Overdosing on Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Black male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Otis Davis.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: History of Heart Failure and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

RIP OTIS DAVIS (February 23, 1964 – December 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:19 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
