Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the infant girl as Carmilla Quezada and listed her race/ethnicity as Hispanic + Black.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Airway Obstruction

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:40 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on February 24.
