(L.A.) Cesar Velez, 30, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Latino male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Cesar Velez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

RIP CESAR VELEZ (March 4, 1994 – November 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 12:10 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
