Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Daytana Evans.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Congestive Heart Failure of Unknown Etiology

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

RIP DAYTANA EVANS (October 13, 1988 – November 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:01 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 4.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
