(L.A.) Baby Boy Concha Died From Mother’s Drug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the infant boy as Baby Boy Concha.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Intrauterine Fetal Demiise

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Cocaine, Phencyclidine and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Intrauterine fetal demise is the medical term for a stillbirth.
