(L.A.) Julio Holguin, 41, Died in a Driveway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred in a driveway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Julio Holguin.

Manner of Death : Natural

Cause of Death : Pulmonary Embolism

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Pulmonary Thromboembolism

Cause of Death B: Deep Vein Phlebotrombosis of the Lower Extremities

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP JULIO HOLGUIN (July 2, 1983 – October 22, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:34 p.m.

The government investigator had initially said that the decedent died at a craft store.

Further, the Department of Medical Examiner withdrew its initial conclusion that this was a natural death and ordered a tox panel to check for drugs. In early February, the results came back showing meth in his system. This is now classified as an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
