(L.A.) Chris Newman, 60, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Chris Newman.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Conditions: Covid Pneumonia; Multiorgan Failure; Sepsis

RIP CHRIS NEWMAN (November 14, 1963 – September 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:23 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 20, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
