(L.A.) Katrina Serrano, 49, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Katrina Serrano.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Back

RIP KATRINA SERRANO (February 1, 1975 – September 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:40 a.m.

The decedent was shot while driving in Lancaster. It appears she may have been chased and shot at in a car-to-car shooting.

She was of Black Puerto Rican descent and is survived by three children.

She was a single mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to many. My mother was kind to everyone, always had a smile on her face, and rarely let anyone break her down.”
