(L.A.) Chi Wong, 79, Died After Being Hit By a Bus

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 79-year-old Asian male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Chi Wong of Hacienda Heights.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP CHI WONG (July 2, 1945 – September 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:45 p.m.

The decedent was fatally hit by a public transit bus.

A Foothill Transit bus was turning out of the Puente Hills Mall parking lot to go northbound on Azusa Avenue from Pepper Brook Way when it struck Wong.
