(L.A.) Christopher Martinez Chavez, 27, Died From Polydrug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Christopher Martinez Chavez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP CHRISTOPHER MARTINEZ CHAVEZ (November 13, 1996 – August 10, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:36 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-December, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Christopher Martinez” in public records.
