(L.A.) Meyberik Romero, 33, Died at an Encampment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old male that occurred at an encampment.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Meyberik Romero Garcia Sr.

Height: 5 feet 7 inches / Weight: 187 pounds

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Garcia.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:55 p.m.

The decedent attended Huntington Park High School. He had a rap sheet in California going back to 2012 for various misdemeanors and felonies including possession of controlled substance, vandalism, battery, domestic violence, interference and trespassing. He was arrested in 2012 for theft while he was serving time inside California Men’s Colony, the male-only state prison in San Luis Obispo.

His most recent criminal encounter with the LAPD was on March 3, 2024, when he was cited by Transit Services for misdemeanor trespass. Then, he was listed with the surname RomeoGarcia as one word. He himself went simply by Meyberik Romero.
