(L.A.) Robin Copeland, 51, Died From a Polypharmacy OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Robin Copeland.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Hydrocodone, Trazodone, Hydroxyzine, Clonazepam, and Diphenhydramine

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Pain, Hip Fracture, and Overmedicating on Prescription Pain Medications

RIP ROBIN COPELAND (August 15, 1972 – July 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:50 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 3, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
