(L.A.) Ricardo Hernandez, 25, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Ricardo Hernandez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of Abdomen

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:43 a.m.

The address belongs to the longstanding store called Soto Liquor Market by Alcazar Street in the Boyle Heights / Boston Heights area.

The decedent appears to have been shot in the stomach just before midnight on Saturday. He was admitted to the hospital emergency room at 12:30 a.m. and pronounced dead a few hours later in the intensive care unit right after abdominal surgery.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Ricardo Hernandez” in public records.
