(L.A.) Gilberto Vera, 41, Died in a Planter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Gilberto Vera.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma
Other Significant Condition: Unspecified Cardiomyopathy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:03 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 23, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
The decedent was found lifeless inside a planter. He’s the fourth man and person to be found deceased inside a planter in L.A. County this past year.
Aside from the four above and two in the year 2021, there have been no other reports of a planter being a place of death among the 165,000 records that the medical examiner has made public since 1999.
