(L.A.) Ellen Lloyd Carmichael, 70, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Ellen Lloyd Carmichael.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Cardiac Hypertension and Pulmonary Hypertension

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:08 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 3, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
