(L.A.) Ramon Martinez, 58, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ramon Martinez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Acute and Chronic Alcohol Use, Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP RAMON MARTINEZ (May 1, 1966 – June 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:13 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 11, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
