Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Black male that occurred at an encampment.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Charles Flennory.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Stab Wound of the Neck
RIP CHARLES FLENNORY (September 27, 1970 – June 15, 2024)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 8:56 a.m.
The decedent had been involved with another man in a verbal altercation at a homeless encampment along the Los Angeles River in Long Beach.
Note that the government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s surname as Flennery.
