Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Luther Lewis.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Morphine and Phencyclidine

RIP LUTHER LEWIS (March 18, 1963 – May 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
