(L.A.) Benjamen Golonsky, 39, Died in Long Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a street in Long Beach.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Benjamen Golonsky and described him as homeless.

Born in Tulare County. Mother’s maiden name is Marincovich.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:53 p.m.

Long Beach PD sent officers at around 10:40 p.m. to the intersection of Carson Street and Gundry Avenue, a few blocks east of Orange Avenue.

The decedent had been crossing Carson outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling east on Carson. The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Police said neither speed, distracted driving nor impairment were believed to be factors in the collision.
