(L.A.) David Hamilton, 76, Died From Opiates

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 76-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Hamilton.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Opiates

RIP DAVID HAMILTON (September 30, 1947 – May 17, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:21 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
