(L.A.) Tanya Menchaca, 48, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Tanya Menchaca.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Stab Wounds

RIP TANYA MENCHACA (March 12, 1970 – February 23, 2019)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:20 a.m.

The decedent was stabbed 32 times by her husband Nick Vedol Lopez. Her naked body was found in a closet of their North Hollywood apartment.

Lopez as sentenced in August 2022 to 85 years to life in state prison.
