(L.A.) Louis McKenzie, 32, Died at a Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Louis McKenzie.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:25 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said that at around 9:15 p.m. on May 23, first responders received reports of a person not breathing at Fair Oaks HOA Park on Swan Lane in Canyon Country.

Foul play was not suspected.

Canyon Country is a neighborhood in the eastern part of the city of Santa Clarita, in northwestern Los Angeles County.
