Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Avery Rockwell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Smoke Inhalation and Thermal Burns

Other Significant Condition: Ethanol Intoxication

RIP AVERY ROCKWELL (July 27, 1972 – April 28, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:36 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early September.
