Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Tanya Brown.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Pneumonia

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Cocaine and Phencyclidine

RIP TANYA BROWN (October 30, 1964 – January 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 1:06 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 2.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
