(L.A.) Marcus Barnes, 60, Died on a Curb

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Black male that occurred on a curb.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marcus Barnes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP MARCUS BARNES (March 8, 1964 – April 28, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:31 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
