Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Efrem Geary.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Recent Cocaine Use

RIP EFREM GEARY (August 5, 1959 – April 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:02 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 15.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
