(L.A.) Coddie Sanchez, 35, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Coddie Sanchez.

Born in Orange County, California. Mother’s maiden name is Ruiz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine; Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

RIP CODDIE NICHOLE SANCHEZ (June 4, 1988 – April 21, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:43 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
