(L.A.) Hector Benavides, 31, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hector Benavides.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sudden Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Cocaine Use

RIP HECTOR BENAVIDES (October 24, 1992 – March 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:05 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the coke.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
