Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Black male that occurred at Antelope Valley Medical Center.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Sam Starks.

Manner of Death: Undetermined

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Blunt-Force Head Trauma

Other Significant Conditions: Sickle Cell Anemia, Cardiomegaly with Pacemaker, Hepatic Cirrhosis of Unspecified Etiology

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:19 p.m.

Local government authorities had the decedent’s body cremated in March the following year.
