(L.A.) Edwin Rivera Cartagena, 26, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edwing Rivera Cartagena.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:16 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on June 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

Notice that the taxpayer-paid government employee spelled the decedent’s forename as Edwing, not Edwin.
