Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Montenegro.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

RIP DAVID MONTENEGRO-MARTINEZ (October 6, 1987 – November 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 2:06 p.m.

The government investigator had given the decedent’s name as “David Montenegro-Martinez” on November 4. It was changed to simply “David Montenegro” on February 26.
