(L.A.) Warren Cantrell, 39, Died From a Coke OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Warren Cantrell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Toxicity

RIP WARREN CANTRELL (July 24, 1984 – November 2, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:14 p.m.

UPDATE: In December, the Department of Medical Examiner withdrew their initial determination that the decedent died by suicide. They had claimed that he smothered himself to death. The government investigator in charge of this case is Deanne Morrell, the pathologist Dr. Kevin Young.

LATEST UPDATE: In July 2024, the DME yet again changed their ruling on the manner of death from Undetermined to Accident. This is now classified as an accidental drug overdose, and the case has been closed.
