(L.A.) Louis Delao, 63, Died in a Hotel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hotel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Louis Delao.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease and Medical History of Substance Abuse and Alcohol Abuse

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:21 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth. This is considered an accidental drug overdose.

The government investigator had initially misspelled the decedent’s forename as Loius before later correcting it.
