(L.A.) Larry Smith, 47, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Larry Smith.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Fentanyl, Acute and Chronic Alcohol Use, Hypertension, Bicuspid Aortic Valve, Asthma

RIP LARRY SMITH (August 22, 1976 – October 2, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:55 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 13, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the fentanyl.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
