(L.A.) Kevin Celestine, 59, Died from Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old Black male that occurred on a street in Compton.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kevin Celestine.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP KEVIN CELESTINE (September 10, 1963 – September 1, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:45 p.m.

The decedent was fatally shot with a handgun during an argument with another man.

Deputies from Compton Sheriff’s Station had been called at around 10:19 p.m. to 1222 S. Whitemarsh Street, west of Wilmington Avenue.
