Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Duane Andrews.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Blunt Head Trauma

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine (Clinical)

RIP DUANE ANDREWS (October 28, 1953 – August 6, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 4:32 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was released on November 1.
