(L.A.) Daron Pitts, 35, Died at a Metro Station

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Black male that occurred at a Metro station.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Daron Pitts. Born in Santa Clara County.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP DARON SHAWN PITTS (November 16, 1987 – August 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:35 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 10, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
