(L.A.) Marcus Johnson, 27, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the individual as Marcus Johnson.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

RIP MARCUS JOHNSON (August 6, 1996 – August 7, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:29 p.m.

There was a shooting that happened at around 3:00 p.m. at the Ralphs supermarket in the 5400 block of Hollywood Boulevard, by Western Avenue.

A store security guard shot a “woman” who allegedly had tried to rush the guard with either a screwdriver (employees’ account) or a fire extinguisher (media outlets and their sources). The “tranny” (word used by employees) was supposedly trying to steal liquor and was reprimanded multiple times by the guard. The guard managed to get the alleged thief out the door, but then the attack happened.
