Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 13-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young teen as Adeliine Zaragoza.

Cause of Death: Consequences of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Other Significant Condition: Acute Hepatic Failure

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m.

The government investigator indeed spelled the decedent’s forename with two i’s.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 7. It’s unclear why the medical examiner classified this as an accident and not a natural death.
