(L.A.) Robert Gonzalez, 31, Died in El Sereno

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Gonzalez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Stab Wound of the Chest

RIP ROBERT ANTHONY GONZALEZ (January 16, 1992 – August 6, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:46 a.m.

The decedent was one of two people who were killed in an incident in El Sereno. The other victim was 32-year-old Pete Tarazon. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers had been dispatched at 5:27 a.m. to the area of Templeton Street and North Eastern Avenue in response to shots being fired from a car speeding away from the area.
