(L.A.) Grant Germain, 30, Died in a River Wash

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old male that occurred in a river wash.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Grant Germain and listed him as “Latino.” UPDATE: By July 29, the government worker had changed the decedent’s race/ethnicity to White/Caucasian.

Cause of Death: Effects of Acetyl Fentanyl, Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine

As of July 26, the government investigator has not provided a date of birth. The state of California, however, has a birth record for a Grant Nicholas Germain, who was born in L.A. County on February 26, 1993. His mother’s maiden name is Allen. UPDATE: Birthday has been confirmed.
The government investigator responsible for this case and its mistakes is Karly Anderson.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
