Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Fredrick Reid.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

RIP FREDRICK REID (February 7, 1965 – June 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:28 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 15, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
