(L.A.) James Taylor, a Baby, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a “Latino” male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the infant boy as James Taylor.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Intrauterine Fetal Demise

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:28 a.m.

Intrauterine fetal demise is the medical term for a stillbirth.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 13, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “James Taylor” in public records.
