(L.A.) Justin Schroeder, 31, Died in a Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Justin Schroeder.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Alcohol Effects

RIP JUSTIN SCHROEDER (July 14, 1991 – June 23, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:50 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 10, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive. This was an accidental overdose.

The decedent appears to have expired on Ocean Avenue at Palisades Park in Santa Monica, directly across from the Shore Hotel and Blue Plate Oysterette Restaurant.
